            On November 28th 2001: with the fundamental help of the president of the association, Admiral Luciano  Zappata and many other relators and all the associates present; accompanied by a  musical event inspired and played for the occasion, by violinist Marta Pasquini. The international edition in English of the three volumes that testify the life and commitment of MED E MED ONLUS - Medicine and Mediterranean.

MED E MED ONLUS proposes a “new non profit project from different cultures and initiatives, from the operational solidarity of volunteers with “on line” technology between all the countries

that surround the 17 seas around the area.

            The place: The meeting room of the Foreign Press of Rome in Via dell’Umiltà between the Quirinal Palace, Piazza della Pilota and the Trevi Fountain.

            The time: 6.30 pm for registration and the opening of the event.

            The Italian edition: was presented on September 17th by President Angelo Capparoni  together with the illustrious medical clinical staff together with various computer technicians at the offices of the “Academy of the History of Healthcare” in Rome  in Lungotevere in Sassia .

            The realisation of this work is due to the collaboration and assistance of many young asssociates of the Mediterranean (cited in the volumes) but above all; Professors Giuseppe Casella for the cultural - historical part, Luigi Pierangeli  for the medical scientific part, Pompilio Gatto and Luisa Martinez who believed  and gave great imput into the project. Peter Connor for the revision of language, Antonio Pisano for the computer knowledge and input, Ettore Scapparo and Rosella Broglia who perfected the graphics and made all possible.

            This message-invitation is sent to all who wish to know , test and evaluate  the “patrimony” of MED E MED ONLUS which has been made by men  who have maintained their commitments, realised their projects or are in an advanced stage of realisation or have not yet been expressed fully in whether to continue them and in which case, with what suggestions, contributions and means.

            Objectives are all to develop , perfect and apply, with transparent agreements as forecast by the world of  “non profit” in the context of the revision of a welfare state.

            MED e MED Onlus intends to move along this line  and develop its projects  together with all those subjects and institutes of the Mediterranean agreed upon as the “motor” of the network, all those involved  in the promotion and collaboration both past and present including doctors, healthcare workers and volunteers who have shared in the strategies not losing the resources, regaining health, finding and re-launching the universal rule of life.
